The glass-lined reactor has the advantages of good quality and corrosion resistance, and plays an important role in the stirring of chemical materials. The reaction of materials will generate heat and volatile substances, so the sealing of the equipment is very important.

The choice of the head

The elliptical head is composed of a half ellipsoid and a short cylinder. The function of the straight edge section is to avoid the sudden change of the radial curvature radius at the connection weld between the head and the cylinder, so as to improve the stress condition of the weld. Since the curvature of the warp of the ellipsoid part of the head is smooth and continuous, the stress distribution is relatively uniform, and the depth of the elliptical head is much smaller than that of the hemispherical head, which is easy to stamp and form, and is suitable for medium and low pressure containers. Therefore, the glass-lined reactor adopts an oval head.

Selection of clips

According to HG/T2054-2007 "Glass-lined equipment clips", the A-type clips are suitable for glass-lined equipment whose design temperature is higher than -20℃~200℃, and the design pressure is less than or equal to 1.0MPa. The flange height of this equipment is 110mm. Then h3=110mm, so the model of the clip selected is AM20.

Selection of sealing device

There are two main types of seals: packing seals and mechanical seals. This equipment adopts mechanical seal. The mechanical seal is a device that changes the sealing surface of the rotating shaft from the axial direction to the radial direction. The mechanical seal has low leakage rate, reliable sealing performance, low power consumption and long service life, and is widely used in stirred reactors. Therefore, a mechanical seal is selected as the sealing device.
