Description
Stainless steel wiped film evaporator/WFE is a kind of continuously type fully closed process equipment for evaporation concentration, desolvation, stripping, reaction, degassing and deodorization, which is widely used in pharmaceutical, domestic chemical, agrochemical, fine chemical, petrochemical, food industry and waste water processing industry. It is a new type of high efficiency evaporator which can be used for falling film evaporation under vacuum. The corrosion resistance and cleanliness of the stainless steel cylinder is especially suitable for the corrosive medium in the above industries.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
Wiped film evaporator/WFE is special designed for distillation separation and purification of heat-sensitive and high boiling point solution materials:1/ The material enters into the feeding-trough of the distributing plate of WFE through the feed pipe, and the distributing plate driven by the rotor evenly distributes the material on the inner surface of the heating cylinder by centrifugal force; 2/ The specially designed movable wipers that installed on the rotor spreads the liquid into a uniform film on the inner surface of the heating cylinder, and it can self clean the inner surface of the cylinder; 3/ The low boiling point components in the film material are continuously heated and evaporated, the evaporated vapour enters the separation cylinder upward through the channel on the distribution plate, and then pumped out and condensed by the vacuum condensation system from the vapour outlet; 4/ At the same time, the wipers will push the material downward until the evaporation residue is pushed to the lower cylinder for collection; 5/The concentrated residual solution is discharged to the collecting tank through the bottom discharge valve or sent to WFE through the pumping system for secondary evaporation.

SELECTION FACTORS OF WFE
Confirm With Evaporation Area:
1/ Calculation of evaporation capacity - Calculate the evaporation capacity per unit time (Kg/h) according to the treatment capacity of feed liquid and the concentration of feed & discharge;
2/ Estimate the evaporation intensity of the evaporator according to the viscosity, concentration and evaporation temperature of the material;
3/ Calculate the required evaporation area with considering a certain mount of surplus.
Confirm With Vacuum:
1/ The vacuum degree is obtained at the cost of energy consumption. It is not necessary to require too high vacuum degree by the evaporation requirements are met;
2/ Estimate the required vacuum degree at this evaporation temperature according to the heat sensitivity of the material;
3/ Confirm the required vacuum degree by considering the possibility of leakage and the on-way resistance.
Confirm With Material & Type of Wiper:
Choose the appropriate wiper type according to the the material viscosity, crystallization tendency, foam and other physical and chemical properties, and confirm the appropriate material of wiper by considering the evaporation temperature.
Confirm With Heating Media:
Select a suitable heat media such as steam or hot water or thermal oil according to the required evaporation temperature and heat consumption.
